I have visited Louisville only briefly but know Lexington much better. Can anyone tell me which is better to live in with regard to 1. crime; 2. diversity; 3. safe conditions for single women; 4. reasonable rents and reasonable condos or homes for sale; and anything else? Are there a lot indians in L'ville? are there indian grocery stores? what is the intellectual and arts scene like? are there book and movie clubs? how is the alliance francaise?
I've lived in Louisville since 2006 & am lovin' it. Until a few months ago it used to be the 16th largest metro in the US & now it is ranked 34 largest in the US (don't ask me how that happened). Louisville definitely has many more Indians than Lexington, has a Hindu temple has a Indian Cultural association, professional association, regional associations like Tamil Sangam, MALOU associations, etc. There plenty to do in louisville Check out these websites http://www.friendoflou.com/ & http://www.possibilitycity.com/ Homes are affordable in Louisville & property taxes are approximately 1% per annum of the assessed property value. I know a little more about real estate as I'm a Realtor selling homes & businesses in Kentucky.
Louisville is bigger than Lexington, lot of Desi's . U really feel like home city
